Our Community Involvement | Your Legacy Legal Care

Community involvement is an important part of Your Legacy Legal Care, with many of our staff members having causes and organizations that are important to them. Volunteering is highly encouraged and members actively search out events that will bring awareness and funding for these special foundations.

We have created our own initiatives to give back to the community and are also involved in sponsoring events that help people in our area. Below are some of the current and past events that we are proud to be a part of.

The Inaugural Community Heroes Luncheon

9th Annual Boogie Nights

October 16, 2021
The 9th Annual Boogie Nights event is right around the corner and our team at Your Legacy Legal Care is proud to announce we are once again sponsoring this wonderful fundraiser! All proceeds from this event will benefit the Community Assistance Providers community fund in Pearland, Texas. Derby Days

April 28, 2020
For the past two years, we have been sponsors of Derby Day, this event is for community members to come together for a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraising event that benefits different non-profit organizations each year. Proceeds from these events have gone to Community Assistance Providers (CAP) of Greater Pearland, Bay Area (BAYCAP), and Galveston (CAPGAL). Sweetheart Dance

The SweetHeart Dance was an event we were a part of that allowed for members of the community to share quality time and to celebrate their union together. As trust and estate lawyers, we see love shared through family and friends, and it was great being able to see it outside of work as well. Other initiatives we are involved in:

Attorney Kimberly Hegwood serves on the Board of Arc of Gulf Coast, Pasadena Habitat for Humanity, Lady Sporting Clays which supports Be An Angel, Thrivent Chapter Leaderboard, Methodist Retirement Community Advisory Board, and Innovative Alternatives. The Innovative Alternatives organization serves the community through mediation, counseling, and training.

Community contributions by Your Legacy Legal Care staff members include Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Chancellors Family Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Casa de Esperanza de Los Niños, Rosie’s Place Shelter for Women, Boston Medical Center Medical-Legal Partnership, Bay Area Turning Point and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Your Legacy Legal Care is also an advocate for strong families and our team members have participated in church and school activities to include Little League, Foreign Students Exchange Program, and new parent support programs.

Your Legacy Legal Care is also dedicated to making the future brighter for everyone in the community, not just their clients, and actively participates in events for InterFaith Caring Ministries, Family Promise of Clear Lake and Families CAN Program, and the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at University of Houston, Clear Lake.
